In this study , thermal properties of different cotton and angora rabbit fibre blended fabrics were investigated. It is known that cotton fibre has good softness, whiteness and warmth.

The aim of this study was to combine the excellent characteristics of these fibres to produce woven fabrics with better comfort properties.

 

This paper deals wiith performance and production of fabric from blending of cotton and angora hair fibres.The most important reason for blending is to produce fabrics with a better combination of performance characteristics in the product.now a days , global competition blending of cottons appear to be inevitable.

 

The blends were than processed to prepare yarn using spinning system . During spinning it was observed that 40% of rabbit hair blended upto 60% of cotton fibres. The deveolped yarns were used to produce shawl fabric using handloom.
